Why does it have prehistoric insects inside?

Being a resin, when it dripped from the tree, it trapped everything in its path: insects, moss, plants, flowers, and, on extremely rare occasions, even water droplets, amphibians, and lizards.

Why do they look different colors?

This is a very common question. Amber doesn't have just one color, but four main colors: yellow, red, green, and blue. Each color of amber is rarer than the others, with blue being the rarest, followed by green.

Mexico is not the only country in the world that has amber; there are other countries that extract this resin, such as the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, the Baltic region, and Burma.
